MFK Vitkovice : 1. SC Znojmo FK

After the zero in Prague, we went across the Czech Republic in the direction of Ostrava. To also fulfill a cultural mission, we stopped briefly in Olmütz to look at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Holy Trinity Column. After that we continued towards our destination, where we stayed in a theater. The way to the stadium we put back on foot and after we had circumnavigated the local field hockey arena, we saw already the Městský stadium, in which, in addition to the second division team MFK Vitkovice, also the first division team Banik Ostrava plays its home games.

Since a reconstruction in 2015, the stadium can accommodate just under 15,000 spectators. However, it quickly became clear that this number would hardly be reached on this evening - despite extremely low ticket prices. At least you had to queue so not for food and drink and with Klobasa and beer you waited for the start of the game.

In the first quarter of an hour it was an open game in which Vitkovice also had its chances. But from the 20th minute played only Znojmo, and the home team virtually stopped playing soccer completely. A flawless hat trick by Jakub Teply gave the guests a commanding halftime lead. A yellow-red card for Vitkovice just before the break made the situation even more hopeless. At this point, only the lonely drummer in the stands believed in a turnaround.

And as it turned out, rightly so. The second half of the game also began as the second had ended with another goal by Jakub Teply. Now the matter was finally settled. But Znojmo had still not had enough and scored in further consequence two more goals and thus gave MFK Vitkovice a real home debacle. Although they had not exactly brought luck to the home team, but 6 goals from an away team you also do not see every day.
