Although one already the one or other time in Nuremberg verweilte or on a trip a stopover inserted, prevented the game plans it so far a game of the "club" to visit. This time, however, it worked out and so we went to Franconia to watch the game against the Karlsruher SC.
After checking into the nearby Hotel Mercure, we walked through the park towards the stadium. On the way one grabbed still another small hop drink. The dark beer was not quite to our taste and so we were glad to arrive at the stadium.
The beautiful weather was immediately even more inviting when you saw the Strandbar before the stadium. Together with tens of other fans was so attuned to the game.
As one enjoyed this scenario too much, one almost missed the kick-off, which finally had to get the Nuremberg specialty - "Three in the Weggla" - in the stadium.
The game then went like the previous season for the club - very sluggish.
Nuremberg did not come at all into the game and Karlsruhe went through the Austrian Sallahi early in the lead. It remained so until the break, although Karlsruhe could well have followed up.
