EFL League One
Bramall Lane

As the last stop on our England trip, a trip to Sheffield was on the agenda. The destination was the oldest stadium in the world where professional soccer is still played - Bramall Lane, the home of Sheffield United. After a tour of the city and the university district, we took a short walk to the stadium. Typically British, the stadium is located in the middle of a housing estate on a slight hill that is integrated into the stadium round.
In contrast to the city rival Sheffield Wednesday, this currently still kicks in the Football League One, but is so far in the promotion race well there. That should remain so after the game against Milton Keynes. The starting position wasn't too bad, either. The Dons have made a weak start to the season and recently had to put down the ignominy of being overtaken in the table by AFC Wimbledon (note: Milton Keynes plays with the license of the "original" FC Wimbledon).
The game also started brilliantly and already after 5 minutes Steven Scougal scored for the lead for Sheffield. What followed was a tepid autumn kick in which you clearly noticed that it was only a third league game. After the break tea then came Milton Keynes almost from nowhere by Darren Potter to the equalizer.
The game did well, the now acted Sheffield again more offensive and thus allowed the opponent also one or the other counterattacking opportunity. In minute 63. then came Billy Sharp after a spectacular cross to the conclusion and provided for the renewed leadership of Sheffield. In consequence, again rather little happened and the victory was perfect.
