Signal Iduna Park
Ticket
After the game in Kaiserslautern, we set off by car to Dortmund. With the navigation system, it was no problem to find our hotel - the "Tryp Dortmund". Right at the car park, we saw the Signal-Iduna-Park, which was clearly visible from an open field.
There we enjoyed the famous German bratwurst and were happy that the beer in Dortmund tastes better than in Kaiserlautern after all - or we had already adjusted to the taste... - The crowd's passion for collecting was also exploited, as there are photos of players and supporters on every cup. So many whistled at the mug to take home a little souvernir. We did the same and since then call 2 Klopp cups our own...
The packed stadium - especially the standing-room grandstand behind the goal, called the "Yellow Wall" - is really impressive. As we were sitting directly to the side of the fan block, we also got a good sense of the atmosphere. Not surprisingly, Dortmund was superior against the last team in the table and won 4:0.
When we wanted to take a self-timer photo after the game, joyful Dortmund fans came up to put a scarf around our necks. I let it pass me by - although for me as a Schalke fan it was rather borderline ;-)
After the game we went to the amateur pitch "Rote Erde". There was already a party going on after the game. The proceeds there go directly to the next generation of players - with that many people, it adds up to quite a bit. When the gates closed there, the party was going on a few metres away in the club pub. Early in the morning, the group headed home. Thank God a taxi driver knew the hotel - we would never have found our way back on foot... ;-)
