TSG 1899 Hoffenheim : Eintracht Frankfurt

When you go to a soccer match at the beginning of November, you usually expect cold wet weather, fog, hard floors, cold hands and a rising gusto for mulled wine...
But this year it was all different. Temperatures around 15 degrees made for pleasant temperatures and perfect soccer weather. Starting from the Karlsruhe main station, one made with the Badener ticket in the S-Bahn on the way in the direction of Sinsheim to look at the game TSG 1899 Hoffenheim against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The games of Hoffenheim are played in Sinsheim. There, the stadium was built directly between the highway and the S-Bahn, which brings a perfect connection to public transport. Right next to the stadium is also Auto und Technik Museum Sinsheim, whose roof-mounted airplanes can also be seen from the highway. On the way to the stadium, we pass a small beverage village that was already besieged by numerous Frankfurt fans. After a small electrolyte refreshment, it went on for a few minutes before you could catch sight of the stadium.

The Rhein-Neckar-Arena is a pure soccer stadium and offers a great soccer ambience. Good visibility, comfortable seats and also visually for an arena quite respectable. Disturbing was however the Dauer-Berieselung with advertisement over the indicator board - an advertising television is nothing against it.

Similarly as Didi Mateschitz with Red Bull also the SAP boss has a not exactly respected image with the soccer fans and had to let also the one or other Schmäh-Gesang go over itself. Apart from these sometimes somewhat below-the-belt interludes, however, Frankfurt's away support was more than successful. But also the Hoffenheimer fans made on itself attentively, whereby one got to hear only little of it due to the continuous singing of the Frankfurt.

As good the achievement of the fans was, so modestly that of the strikers of the two teams. Both Hoffenheim and Frankfurt missed some high-caliber opportunities, although in the end, especially Frankfurt could have easily decided 2-3 games with the available chances. The game was quite entertaining, but in the middle of the second half it became clear that nothing more will happen here. And so there was a draw at the end, which could have ended with 2:2. We would have preferred it in any case ;-)
