The whole time we spent in Hamburgschien the sun from the sky. Whether during the harbor tour, the walk throughSpeicherstadt and Hafencity or the one or other beer at the "StrandPauli" - always was sunshine. But when you started the walk from the S-Bahn station to the Imtech Arena, it poured with rain. So you arrived extremely soaked at the stadium, where you then also had to wait a bitbevor you came through the security checks into the stadium.
As an opponent for the strongly relegation-threatened HSV wartedan this day the VfL Wolfsburg, which went as table second as the favorite in thePartie. It stood as quasi the "Little North Derby" on theProgramm. The stadium was accordingly full - sold out. The stadium, which is called Volksparkstadion again as of July 1, 2015 - is located somewhat outside ofHamburg but is quite easy andquick to reach by S-Bahn and a short walk from the city. But the way is facilitated by some bar, snack and beer stands. So you have to thirst or starve in any case ;-)
Arrived at the stadium squeeze first allZuschauer through an entrance area, before you can then make your way zuseinem sector - which was with us in the usual manner of course again exactlyon the opposite side. More than 50,000 spectators have space on the 3 tiers - and we took a seat almost at the top. Since we sat but quasi exactly atHöhe the center line we had everything perfectly in view.
From the beginning it was obvious why theHamburger SV is to be found at the bottom of the table. A sportingLeckerbissen could not be expected, of course, but that it would also be lacking in Einsatzund fight was then somewhat indicative. A game structure was hardly recognizable and in the defense it came again and again to hair-raising mistakes. Wolfsburg took advantage of one of these as early as the 10th minute, which did not make things any easier for Hamburg. Subsequently, Wolfsburg only did what was necessary, as HSV did not exude any danger at all. So it was also with a 0:1 residue into the break.
This was used to pull in once again one of the German stadium sausages, but unfortunately somewhat tastelessausfall. The beer, however, tasted ;-)
Everyone hoped that the Hamburgers would return to the field after aPausen-Ansprache with a little more commitment - and all were disappointed. Wolfsburg was enough a modest performance to exist against the totally harmless Hamburg and in the 73rd minute fell then alsodas 0:2. Thereupon, many spectators already took the way home and missesomit still a yellow-red card of the Hamburgers Djourou binnen 3 minutes. Mehrtat itself no longer and the HSV had now on the basis of the victories of Stuttgart andPaderborn the "Red Lantern" inne.
A look at the Bundesliga clock, which counts the time in the stadium since the HSV plays in the Bundesliga, currently still shows 51years and just under 250 days. If the HSV so continues to play this clock will be reset from Maywohl...
