WM-Qualifikation Europa
Ernst-Happel-Stadion

Because of the redesign of the international match dates for UEFA, the games are now divided over several days. And so the game date on a Sunday afternoon was somewhat unusual, especially if you have to put on the Lord's Day quasi an away trip from Linz to Vienna. This hurdle was taken but sovereign and since one was already early on site could one in the just opened "Travel Shack's Hideaway" a few Einstimmungs-Bierchen approve.
Then one made himself on in the Happel Stadium which was well attended with 44,200 spectators. The Drumherum with commanded flag-waving and Tu-dies-tu-das is indeed something to get used to, but since at an international match also numerous fans who are otherwise never in the stadium and for which an event character is important, one sees there at international matches over it.
The game itself developed into a typical Austria game. Although one was after just under 20 minutes by a goal of Rubin Okotie in the lead - whereby the goal was mainly also the great Vorarbeit of Marco Arnautovic to thank. After that, one was visually superior, but in front of the goal little dangerous and if, then one missed partly with bad luck, but also partly bungling. The chances of Harnik, Hinterseer and Co. would normally be enough for 3 games. And so we had to tremble again until the last second. But unlike past years where we would have certainly still conceded the balance, one brought the narrow margin over time.Somit Austria can after 3 match days sensational way of the table top laugh. It is still a long way, but a trip to the European Championship in France would be what ;-)
