Serie A
Stadio Olimpico di Roma
Ticket & Statistics
Actually, the game in Rome should be the second Italy game of this week, but despite a ticket odyssey through Naples could not get hold of tickets for the game there.
Which failed but not at a sold-out house, but because of the fact that the one lt. Internet issued ticket office closed and the other just did not exist (even Google fades in said address only a wall). Also the trip to the stadium was problematic, but the subway was simply closed. Also the trip to the stadium was ultimately but in vain, because despite arrival 4 hours before the start of the game no more tickets got - the office had already closed 2 hours. So the stadium was only half filled (no wonder if it is so hard to get tickets) and we were not exactly pleased...
... but now back to Rome. There we visited on game day still the Vatican and a nearby viewpoint. Afterwards gings to foot in the direction of stadium. Since the stadium was already written in the Vatican, one should find it thus problem-free. But once we didn't pay attention for a moment, we took another detour and didn't make it to the game on time. Wenigsens had one the maps already in advance in the Roma-Fanshop procured - that went in contrast to the south very konfortabel.
So one came thus just in time around Totti to see a penalty shoot and/or selbigen versemmeln. It followed a back and forth on the lawn so that it was an entertaining game despite a 0:0 at the break.
The Curva Sud was also very well attended and in addition to continuous singing, a few Bengals were also ignited. Unfortunately, one or the other was also thrown on the running track, which should not be a rarity there but as routinely as these were then eliminated ;-)
In half-time two then a very good game of both sides. Totti first made up for his missed penalty and shot in for the lead. After that, Catania but was always stronger and offered especially about the right attacking side again and again good actions. One of them also led to a clear penalty, which was also confidently converted to equalize.
After that, Roma played a little more offensively, which inevitably led to good counterattack opportunities for Catania. And one of them was also promptly used. But there were still 20 minutes to play and Roma did not want to say goodbye to the home fans with a defeat in the summer break. And so it was ultimately Totti again, who fixed the deserved draw.
