Segunda Division B - Grupo III

Camp Municipal Narcís Sala
Ticket
Now it should be so far and our first game in Spain should become reality. Quickly we had decided for the game Espanyol Barcelona against Athletico Bilbao. The tickets were already secured and one saw oneself mentally already in the Nou Estadi Cornella-El Prat. Leidergottes one had made the calculation without the Spanish league. These set the game namely on Monday, whereby the visit of the game was no longer possible for us. So we had to look around for alternatives.
Quickly an alternative was found, because also in other parts of Barcelona soccer is played. So we came across the EU Sant Andreu, which is active in the Spanish third league. Since we are not powerful of the Spanish or the Catalan, and also the information on the Internet was rather meager, one had to be indicated the situation of the stadium by google maps.
That one cannot rely however blindly on these descriptions of way, was led to us there painfully before eyes, one landed nevertheless in the Nirvana of Barcelona. Although one found a stadium, which is used however rather for play of the "2. class". Also the questioning proved to be somewhat difficult due to the lack of English knowledge of the interviewees. Ultimately, we found the way to the Camp Municipal Narcis Sala. Horrified we had to find out that directly in front of the stadium was a subway stadium. However, this should be quite new, whereby it was not marked on our plans. But since one had made it exactly in time for the kickoff, the annoyance kept within limits.
Quickly we bought us cards for 10 euros each. For 5 euros there would have been cards "non socko" (or something like that). What that means exactly, however, we could not locate ;-)
The stadium itself is located in the middle of a residential area, which is very reminiscent of various English sub-class clubs. The colors of Catalonia (red yellow) dominated not only the dresses of the home team, but also the stadium, as all the seats were colored in these colors. One long side of the stadium was covered, the rest was outdoors - due to the climate in Spain, this is also the case at many other stadiums, including Camp Nou. The sanitary facilities, however, were more of the Eastern Bloc brand and no value was placed on catering. Only Coke and chips could be bought. A tap was on site, but not activated. So you had to do without a stadium beer.
Although the fan scene in Barcelona is probably more focused on Barca and Athletico, Sant Andreu could also put on a good fan mob. With megaphone and drum, the team was cheered in the best Ultras manner over 90 minutes. Funny especially to hear those chants times in Spanish, which you also hear in our stadium.
The game itself liefft not exactly for the home team. Although you dominated the first 20 minutes and missed some chances stümerhaft, it was the guests from Orihuela in the 22nd minute to the surprising lead einschossen. From this point on, the guests began to play on counterattack, which was subsequently used ice-cold to a 3-0 break lead.
In the second half, Sant Andreu tried desperately to pull up the connecting goal. But either one ran to the well standing defense of the guests firmly, or one lost the ball by partly catastrophic Abspielfehler. The game had more of a Landesliga level in the second half, which was also reflected in the mood of some home fans. The devoted themselves now rather more to the insult of the guest players. Here, especially the word "Arigona" (at least it sounded like that) was used quite often. What that means exactly, however, we could not make out.
Last but not least, the guest team prevailed because of the better chance exploitation and a good defensive performance deserved but possibly a little too high with 3:0. As an alternative to the Spanish or Catalan major clubs, a visit to this stadium is definitely recommended. Nevertheless, the Primera Division will also see us times....
