After we had seen Ajax already in the league in front of the home crowd, we put shortly thereafter with the Champions League game against AJ Auxerre equal to one more on it. How often do you have the chance to see a game live in the premier league?
So purely in the stadium and quickly bought a beer - which soon turned out to be a mistake. That in the Champions League only alcohol-free beer is poured, was clear. But no one could have expected that it would taste so disgusting. That was already damage worthy - of it is DRINGENST to advise against...
Since we had ordered the cards about setweave, and there apparently the mind is not at home, we got our cards on in the sector scattered places - but well, one wants to see anyway soccer. That one sits then however in the midst of inveterate Ajax fans with you each move want to discuss, makes it then language-barriered not so simple ;-)
Before the game there was a stadium-wide choreography with white flags and a few Dutch songs were played whose texts one could not follow (of course). The game started practically with a 1:0 for Ajax, which was nevertheless very conducive to the mood. Shortly before the break, Suarez after a solo increased to 2:0. Auxerre showed in half time one exactly nothing - it was rather a miracle that Ajax not already even higher led.
In half time two then Auxerre doch came a little better into the game. And when Ooijer after 55 minutes after an emergency brake deservedly had to leave the field and the resulting free kick also promptly landed in the net, the game should gain but considerably in tension. There were now chances on both sides and just before the end, the ball also zappelt in the net. However, the Oliech of Auxerre had promoted with his hand into the goal - which meant yellow (and in his case yellow-red). There was thus again nominal parity on the field.
The final phase was then somewhat hectic, and also the French substitutes who were just warming up let themselves be infected by it. So finally even Mignot after multiple criticism with yellow-red from the field (or from the sidelines).
Lastly Ajax won thanks to a strong first half with 2:1 and celebrated the first victory in this year's Champions League.
