2. Bundesliga
Stadion am Laubenweg
Ticket
The journey towards Fürth went quite briskly, but the weekend traffic jam before Nuremberg messed up our schedule so much that we had to visit the stadium directly. Thanks to navigation device, the stadium was also found immediately - and also the parking lot search went despite location in the middle of a housing estate surprisingly smoothly.
After we had bought the tickets the stadium was of course taken in sight. Half of the oval is unroofed, which hardly contributes to the joy on the stands in rainy weather. The away sector stands out from the rest of the stadium, as this one block is built steeply upwards to create space for more people. Although the optics suffers from it - but should not have played a role in the planning.
After a bratwurst (which was again quite tasty) and a beer from a mobile flow cooler (since the men with their barrel on the back can pack discreetly) gings off on the standing room. The fan curve is located directly behind the goal and the team was also fired up throughout the game. The texts of the fan chants are indeed partly habituation (have never heard so often the word "cloverleaf" - and the word "Kleeblättler" was with so far completely unknown), but quite nice to listen to.
In the half-time then had two fans the chance to win 100 liters of beer for the fan sector - but unfortunately failed in the penalty shoot the nerves. So just had to hold again the mobile tap ...
The game was actually from the beginning a clear matter for Fürth. Already after a few minutes Fürth went into the lead, and Osnabrück was subsequently too weak to become really goal-dangerous. And when they did get forward, the action was finished bunglingly. So it was only a matter of time until Fürth Nachlegte.
Shortly before the break it was then so far - thought one... After a beautifully played out action, the ball zappelte in the net. The players ran back already in their own half, also the referee had already decided on goal. The linesman - who had indicated my feeling after however nothing - could be changed by the angry Osnabrücker however, which led to a denial of the goal.
Under loud "Hoyzer, Hoyzer" calls was played further - however only few minutes later it stood by a capital Tormannfehler of the guests keeper 2:0. After that, the cheese (or rather the cloverleaf) was eaten, and Fürth played the victory sovereign home.
After the game, one wanted to turn in to a few beers in the Fürth. It seems, however, that Fürth will probably never become a party metropolis. The city seemed as if it had died out and so one ended up in a cinema cafe in which one could then still try out a few experementelle beers from the region.
